Council leader backs their introduction
Douglas Borough Council has defended its decision to charge for disabled parking spaces.
The council took over control of Chester Street and Drumgold Street car parks last week.
Many people voiced displeasure when it was announced price hikes at the sites would also apply to disabled badge holders - who previously used the facilities free of charge.
But Council Leader David Christian says some of the things being said are completely untrue:
New clerk for Arbory and Rushen Commissioners
DHSC looking to 'map clear way forward' over bed shortages
Mother's Day recognition for women who ‘shape our community’
Strike off process against companies with out-of-date information starts
