
The Church of England would be in cloud cuckooland if it did not think the UK parliament could now force its hand over allowing women bishops.
That's according to the Island's Lord Bishop, Robert Paterson.
He says it's quite likely parliament will now tell the Church of England it must observe equality legislation if it wants to continue to be the established church:
