Church service wants people to think more about impact of disabilities

Promenade Methodist Church event focussing on hearing and sight loss this weekend

The reverend behind a church service raising awareness of disabilities hopes everyone will learn something from the event.

Promenade Methodist Church in Douglas will be hosting its Disability Awareness Service on Sunday, with a particular focus on sight and hearing loss.

Manx Voices choir will be signing their hymns, while Sight Matters will have headsets to allow people to experience different forms of vision loss.

Jo Smart hopes it means people think more about the impact of disabilities:

The service takes place at 10.30am on Sunday (27 September).
