Chief minister says civil service growth is not government's intention
The civil service is not 'getting bigger', according to the chief minister.
Reforms are to be made to the top of government which will see the chief secretary role scrapped in favour of a chief executive position.
A chief operating officer will also be appointed for the Cabinet Office.
It follows the findings of a review which was triggered off the back of a whistleblowing case concerning the former medical director.
