Director of Audit Advisory Division gives evidence to committee
One of the senior figures within government’s whistleblowing structure maintains that the policies introduced in 2016 are sufficiently independent, objective and appropriate.
Director of the Audit Advisory Division Steven Hind has two roles within whistleblowing - he’s a designated officer within Treasury, and also has a cross-departmental role through monitoring confidential internal telephone and email lines.
Mr Hind was appearing before the Select Committee investigating current procedures, in the Legislative Council Chamber this morning (Mon 22).
He told the committee he believes the reporting structure in place is working efficiently.
