Casualty removed from tidal gully
A young person had to be rescued from a tidal gully by Peel coastguard yesterday.
They'd got stuck in a spot at the end of Fenella beach car park at around 11.20am.
With the help of the Peel Harbour keepers, the casualty was removed using a ladder, as it was decided this was the quickest and safest method of recovery.
They were unhurt and were handed over to a parent.
There's a reminder to be aware that beaches and cliffs can be dangerous places.
If you get into trouble, or see someone else in difficulty you should call 999 and ask for the coastguard.
