Follows call out last night
People are being urged not to walk out to the Tower of Refuge without checking tide times.
Douglas Coastguard was called out at 8.35pm yesterday (28 April) after reports that a group was making its way out to the landmark despite a 'rapidly incoming tide'.
They were stood down when the individuals realised they were in danger and turned back.
Officers say they located them on Douglas Promenade and advised them of the 'possible danger' they were in.
