The new board member will be in post until next year's elections
Lezayre Parish Commissioners thinks a 'public spirited' person would thrive, as the authority looks for a new board member.
It's running another by-election, after one held towards the end of last year failed to gain interest and nominations.
The successful candidate will remain on the board until the local authority elections next year.
Chairman Julian Teare says commissioners play an important role:
He provided this statement as the by-election gets underway:
Person suffers 'significant injuries' in 'serious assault' near Peel
Business case for horse trams to be put before Tynwald in July
Plans to turn 'underused space' in central Douglas into wellness retreat
