Youth disturbance contributed to death of 73-year-old last year
The chairman of Onchan Commissioners claims a two-pronged approach is needed to tackle anti-social behaviour in the village.
Robin Turton wants the authority to engage with schools in a bid to clamp down on public disturbances by youths.
It follows the ruling a gang of young people contributed to the death of a 73-year-old Onchan woman last year.
Mr Turton sent his condolences to the family involved and pledged to improve the situation.
