Would-be tenants warned
Commissioners in Ramsey are urging local people waiting for a council house, to ensure their records are up to date.
The authority says well over 100 applicants are currently on the list for social housing, far outstripping supply.
It's reminding anyone who wants to remain on the list to ensure they notify the town hall of any changes in their circumstances.
Twenty-one applicants were removed this year for failing to meet the criteria - most for not returning the annual review form or exceeding the permitted income level.
Other grounds for being dropped from the waiting list include having savings over the permitted level, being a property owner and declining four offers of tenancies from Ramsey Commissioners.
