Fire safety officer urges public to take care
Basic "common sense" should be applied to anyone building bonfires and lighting fireworks this weekend - according to a fire safety officer.
Mark Caley is urging the Manx public to take sensible precautions while celebrating Bonfire Night to keep the festivities both safe and enjoyable.
The Fire Service advises people to build their bonfires on clear ground, away from any obstacles - keeping spectators at a safe distance.
Mr Caley says special consideration should be given for the safety of others.
Anyone looking for more information regarding safety on Bonfire Night can find out more on the Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service Facebook page.
