Department of Home Affairs says it's due to staffing levels
The Department of Justice and Home Affairs has admitted it's had some 'operational issues' with community service because of staffing levels.
Work is said to be underway to bring the team 'back to full strength' within the next six months.
Community service is a sentence imposed by the courts as an alternative to jail which sees offenders perform unpaid work in their spare time.
Chief Officer Dan Davies says it's proving a difficult role to fill:
Candidates could need to declare interests to stand in 2026 General Election
Customs and Excise office to relocate
Douglas man convicted in Island's 'most complex child abuse image investigation'
Temporary lights installed on Douglas promenade
