DoI commits to reviewing system
The Department of Infrastructure is facing criticism from MHKs who say concerns raised about public sector housing thresholds have been 'ignored'.
Minister Tim Crookall has acknowledged the financial difference between single and joint applicants is insufficient and has committed to putting thresholds into review.
Onchan MHK Rob Callister has previously said eligibility requirements are being set too low and is punishing those who want to work.
