Concerns over speeding in Arbory

Record of motoring offences near school

Ten individuals have been prosecuted for motoring offences near Arbory School in the last four years, it's been revealed.

The figures were released by the Isle of Man Constabulary in response to a Freedom of Information request, after concerns were raised over the primary school's new parking policy.

School bosses have restricted vehicular access outside, and encouraged parents to drop their children off nearby due to a lack of space and recent 'near misses'.

Police data shows Arbory Parish Commissioners flagged the issue with officers once in 2015, prompting radar speed checks to be carried out nearby.

Offences leading to prosecutions since 2013 have included speeding, careless driving, and failing to have a vehicle licence.
