Both members of the public and those serving in the police force were honoured at a special event in Douglas yesterday (WED).
Chief Constable Gary Roberts hosted his annual awards ceremony at the Gaiety Theatre in Douglas - where Islanders received accolades for acts of bravery, courage and compassion.
Lieutenant Governor Sir Richard Gozney, war veteran Hector Duff (described as 'the greatest living Manxman by Chief Constable Gary Roberts) and Home Affairs Minister Bill Malarkey were all in attendance.
