Electronic format could save money
It could be more than five years before the Isle of Man Constabulary operates a digital filing system, according to Gary Roberts.
The Chief Constable admitted a paper system was still in place when he went before a Tynwald committee earlier this week.
He suggested moving to an electronic format would improve access to important documents and act as a cost-saving measure.
But he wouldn't be drawn on saying when such a system would be implemented:
