Crossing times could increase in 2026
Crossing times between Douglas and Liverpool could increase in the future when the Steam Packet Company replaces the Manannan.
The new Sea Services Agreement, which is due to be voted on at this month's sitting of Tynwald, reveals the current fastcraft could be replaced by a conventional ferry in 2026.
Under the proposals, at least £70million would be spent on updating the Steam Packet's fleet.
