David's medal 'a thank-you from the nation'
A Scout volunteer from Onchan has been awarded the Coronation Medal during a ceremony at Windsor Castle.
David Cowin, who's a member of 2nd Onchan Scouts and the Island's Youth Commissioner, played an important role during the coronation of King Charles.
The medal is a thank-you gift from the nation to commemorate the coronation, for the people who made the historic service happen.
David was one of 120 Scouts from across the Commonwealth chosen to support the ceremonial event. His role was to assist members of the public in the viewing areas in the Royal Parks, providing crowd welfare support across the south side of the Mall, as part of the St James's park team.
