Measures backed by Tynwald on Thursday
The chief minister says new cost of living support, unanimously approved by Tynwald members yesterday, will set out a 'good platform'.
It includes a cap on energy prices until March next year, will see bus fares capped at £2 a journey from November, and additional financial support payments for people on low incomes in December.
There's been criticism of the additional payments, though - former treasury minister David Ashford said the support needed to be more targeted and had been allocated with a 'blunt tool'.
