The leader of Douglas Council says he feels let down at the plans to relocate the horse tram tracks on the prom.
The Council, which favoured moving the trams to the seaward side of the road for the length of the prom, says the original plans it was shown didn't have the trams on the walkway but the department says part of the walkway would always have been home to the track.
Whilst the situation remains ongoing, David Christian says he was surprised to find that from the war memorial to Strathallan three quarters of the walkway would be used for the tram track regardless of whichever scheme eventually goes ahead.
He says they've now been told the prom isn't wide enough for a dedicated carriageway for the trams along its entire length
