Council's Willaston apartment plans given the go-ahead

Work could start this summer

Planning permission has been granted to erect 48 two-bed apartments in Willaston.

It follows four years of dispute.

Douglas Borough Council will construct the complex, over three levels, on Snaefell Road.

A number of trees, bordering Manor Park, will be removed – the council says it will plant more in the area once the project has completed.

Lead for housing Janet Thommeny says the site could be complete within two years:
