DESC pushing 'hands, face, space' message
Children are being urged to continue practising 'hands, face, space' as they return to the classrooms today.
The department of education says schools, and the University College, will maintain 'proportionate protective measures' to mitigate the risk of Covid-19.
Government guidance states that all staff in educational settings – and secondary school and college students - are 'strongly advised' to wear a face covering.
A two-page advert in The Courier also urges people to wash their hands frequently and to consider two lateral flow tests each week.
Children are also being urged to sign up for a vaccination - Health Minister Lawrie Hooper says he’s happy to look into seeing if schools can be turned into vaccine hubs:
