Investigation is underway with supplier
Isle of Man Creamery says it’s working with the technical team at its milk carton supplier to investigate why some screw caps on recent batches of cartons have been abnormally tight.
The issue was first highlighted on social media.
The eco-friendly cartons are supplied by Swedish company Tetrapak.
The Creamery says the caps and spouts arrive as a ready formed unit and are inserted into the cartons automatically during production.
An investigation is underway and to help with the process the Creamery's asking customers who have had trouble opening a cap to record the batch code on the underside of the carton and send it to them at customerservices@isleofmancreamery.com
The Creamery says it sincerely apologises for the inconvenience and frustration caused.
