Ministerial Reshuffle: Cregeen moved to home affairs

Dr Alex Allinson takes charge of the education department

Graham Cregeen has been named the Island's new Home Affairs Minister.

The appointment has been announced by Chief Minister Howard Quayle this morning, and comes following the death of Bill Malarkey last month.

Ramsey MHK Dr Alex Allinson replaces Mr Cregeen as Minister of Education, Sport and Culture, which is his first ministerial appointment.

Health and Social Care Minister David Ashford had been overseeing the Department of Home Affairs on an interim basis.

Mr Quayle says both will be taking up their new positions with immediate effect.
