Crown Dependencies should have say in UK trade deals, says MPs

A recommendation is being put forward that the Isle of Man should be covered in free trade agreements

The Isle of Man should be represented when the UK arranges international trade deals, a group of British MPs have said.

The United Kingdom Justice Committee believes the Island, along with Jersey and Guernsey, should be present at future negotiations.

Westminster is solely responsible for the Crown Dependencies interests when brokering trade policy abroad.

Chair of the group, Sir Bob Neill, is recommending both goods and services from the islands should be covered in free trade agreements that the UK signs.
