Edge calling for time to be extended
Curtailing question time in the House of Keys is undemocratic.
That’s the view of an Onchan MHK who's calling for the time allocated for questions to be extended.
One hour is scheduled for discussion of issues tabled by politicians with a vote each sitting to determine continuing it for longer.
However the Council of Ministers has been accused of using its block vote to stop that happening.
Julie Edge claims it means important issues are being missed:
Scammers becoming more sophisticated with AI, say police
More restrictions for MHKs over planning comments
Two thirds of vehicles checked by police found to have defects
Campaign group welcomes step towards free period products
