Final Shoprite in Peel and Winerite in Douglas shut tonight
It's the end of an era today (29 June) as the last remaining Shoprite stores on the Island close their doors.
The business's collection of stores were bought by supermarket giant Tesco last year and have been rebranded one-by-one over the past six months.
This evening, the Shoprite on Derby Road in Peel will close at 9pm and Winerite in Douglas at 8pm.
The Peel site will reopen as a Tesco and the Douglas site as a Tesco Express in August.
