Manx National Heritage calls for safeguarding
There's a call to safeguard some of the Island's historic sites, following a spate of damage.
Manx National Heritage has reported issues at Peel Castle and Eary Cushlin.
The castle, the entrance door was damaged and signs were removed.
Director of MNH Edmund Southworth says the impact is significant, and will move funds away from bigger projects to maintain damaged areas.
He added these sites are protected under the Manx Museum and National Trust Act.
Anyone caught defacing historic monuments, can be fined up to £5,000 and is subject to possible imprisonment.
