Boxer running up Snaefell 14 times for charity
Local boxer Danny Roberts has passed the half-way point of his mammoth challenge to run up the height of Mount Everest this weekend.
He opted to begin the task yesterday morning, as scheduled, despite the weather conditions.
He's covering the climb by going up Snaefell from Laxey beach fourteen times.
He's doing it to raise money and awareness for local charities Huntington's Disease IoM and REACH IoM.
At the time of writing, he's just £115 shy of his £5,000 fundraising target.
Manx Radio is receiving regular updates on his progress, and he spoke to Andy Wint live on air earlier this morning:
Football fans urged to drink responsibly
Residents still want to see what wind farm will look like
Construction costs on the Island 18% above UK average and comparable with Outer London
Manx residents 'will probably need to pay more' if they want universal health service
