Chair says everything possible done to save charity
The Chair of the Managing Committee of the Drug Advice Service and Helpline says she believes the closure of the charity will leave a gap.
Yesterday, DASH officially confirmed it would be closing in November.
Unofficial news of the closure came out earlier this month.
The charity had been suffering for the last three years after government withdrew annual funding of £100,000.
Hazel Hannan says she believes the committee had done everything it could to keep the charity going and in recent years it changed its position to fill a gap in services:
