Hotdog entrepreneur showcases new home
A well-known local businessman is bringing a taste of Americana to the town of Ramsey.
Chiacago native Dave Valkema, better known for his brand Dave's Delicious Dogs, is opening a permanent diner in the former St Paul's Bookshop building.
The shop closed down in October 2016 after 40 years of trading.
Dave's Delicious Delicatessen & Soup Pot is opening its doors at 9am today (Saturday), serving a variety of traditional US fare alongside the eponymous Manx-reared hotdog sausages.
It will enjoy an 'official opening' in the Spring.
