Day of community events at Cyclefest

Public has chance to sample race circuit

It's Day Two of Ramsey-based Cyclefest and the focus is on community events.

Today, a chance for the public to sample the racing circuit along the promenade and round Mooragh Park.

The action starts from 1pm with Bike for Life, a disability cycling event.

A BMX grand prix at 4pm is open to schoolchildren of all ages, organised by Ramsey BMX club.

Tonight, it's the Big Bike Ride for Rebecca House, a turn-up-and-join-in event raising funds for the Island's children's hospice.

It's a chance to ride the same circuit as the pros in last night's Pearl Izumi tour series race.

Cyclefest Radio live from Ramsey will be on air from 2pm, with commentary, results, chat, features and music.

Tune in to AM1368 or listen via smartphone apps or manxradio.com

In perfect conditions, it was an opportunity for locals and cycle fans alike to soak-up the atmosphere.
