New signage will be installed to raise public awareness
Government wants your views on proposals to implement 20mph speed limits in residential areas across the Island.
It's been put forward by the Department of Infrastructure in line with a Tynwald commitment from 2023.
No new traffic calming measures will be implemented under the initiative but there will be installation of new signage, to raise public awareness.
Schools are included in the strategy and will see existing signs replaced in addition to the installation of flashing lights to highlight when drivers should take extra care.
The deadline to submit your views is Friday (21 March).
To view the proposed changes, visit gov.im/maps, select ‘Island Infrastructure’ and then tick the layer marked ‘Proposed IOM Speed Limits Order 2025’.
