37 posts remain unfilled across the Island
A string of new measures are being used by the Department of Education and Children to attract new teachers to the Isle of Man.
These include rent subsidies, relocation packages and 'golden hellos' - additional payments for those in their second and third years of full-time employment.
37 teaching posts remain unfilled at schools across the Island - they're occupied by supply teachers or staff who usual teach a different subject.
Education Minister Graham Cregeen says his department has also been working with UK recruitment agency 'Hays' to promote teaching on Island.
He says there's stiff competition:
Island's finances 'in a better position than most other jurisdictions'
Completion of assisted dying bill 'the most significant moment of 2025'
Keep dogs away from Garwick Beach for next few days
Cost of sending a letter on the Island to increase in January
