Resignation follows public scrutiny

Those words from the outgoing head of a government department.
Chris Corlett will stand down as chief executive of the Department of Economic Development in a fortnight’s time.
His resignation comes at a time his department is under scrutiny on a wide range of issues - although Mr Corlett says they are unconnected with his departure, and he wants to spend time on other projects after 14 years with government.
