Dementia Action Week ends in style

Alzheimer's Society pleased with events

Friday saw the end of Dementia Action Week and locals saw it out in style, with a retro disco.

Over the week, the Alzheimer's Society, with the help of a range of mental health support workers on the Island, put on a series of events to raise awareness of dementia.

From tea parties and physical activities to a train ride and cinema showing of Singing in the Rain, the variety of events were enjoyed by people from all over the Island, regardless of whether or not they themselves were affected by the disease.
