Department to follow up on school syllabus checks

Steps taken to avoid future exam mix-ups

Checks will be made at Island schools to ensure the correct procedures are being followed in future - according to the Education Minister.

Graham Cregeen says advisors will provide an extra level of scrutiny to avoid a repeat of a recent syllabus mix-up.

iGCSE students at Castle Rushen High School were given the wrong text to study for an English exam.

Mr Cregeen says the department will be following up on safeguards put in place by schools.
