Comes amid escalation in dispute with the headteachers union
The Department of Education says it 'completely refutes' claims it has breached employment policies and professional standards.
The National Association for Head Teachers (NAHT) says it's taking steps to protect its members from what it calls 'further misuse' of disciplinary proceedings by the Department of Education.
It's asking its members to decide whether a ballot for industrial action should be held - a move the union's called a 'last resort'.
In a statement, the department says the claims do not reflect the standards or values it upholds.
It says it remains open to meaningful dialogue to support a 'respectful and collaborative' relationship with all education partners.
