DfE Minister: £10 million brownfield pot will benefit whole community

But 'checks and balances' will be in place if Tynwald gives green light

Approving £10 million to hand out to developers for the regeneration of brownfield sites will benefit the whole community.

That’s the view of the enterprise minister who says transforming urban areas will contribute to economic growth, prosperity and sustainability of the Island.

If developers have their plans approved they could receive up to 25 per cent of their costs from the public purse through a new Island Infrastructure Scheme.
