DHSC member welcomes report into dismissal of Health Minister

Former Health Minister to apologise to Tynwald this month

Former Health and Social Care Minister Rob Callister is expected to apologise to Tynwald for his 'inappropriate conduct', which includes the way he spoke to civil servants.

It follows a report from the Tynwald Standards and Members’ Interests Committee into his dismissal in November last year.

An independent investigation found that he engaged in "repeated inappropriate comments which undermined the right to dignity at work of the civil servants hearing those comments" and did "not act in a manner consistent with the principle of honesty".

He refutes the findings.
