Coastguard helps trapped pet
Douglas Coastguard was called to the aid of a dog which fell over cliffs this afternoon.
Officers were alerted shortly after 2pm about a dog which had fallen from Marine Drive near Horses Leap.
Rescue teams climbed down to the animal, which suffered only superficial injuries, and returned it to its owner.
They say if your pet gets into difficulty on cliffs, don’t try to rescue it yourself: always call the coastguard on 999 or 112.
