DoI aims to cut down on empty buses in north

Flexibility key says minister

The Department of Infrastructure says it's hoping a new initiative being rolled out in the north of the Island will cut down on the number of largely empty buses on the roads.

The ConnectVILLAGES scheme uses minibuses on routes between northern communities, with people able to book a seat on the internet.

Minister Ray Harmer says he believes flexibility is key.
