Events planned to show support for key workers
Police are telling motorcyclists planning rideouts around the TT course in support of medical staff and key workers to not do them.
A post on the Isle of Man Constabulary's social media channels says while officers understand the sentiment and appreciate the support, such events would actually hinder the emergency services at the moment.
It says resources would have to be allocated, and it would cause traffic issues and a potential strain on the services the rides want to support.
There's also the matter of gatherings of more than 10 people not being allowed currently.
The police says they would we happy to work with organisers planning any such events after Covid-19 restrictions are lifted.
