Advice issued ahead of winter flu season
Anyone with cold or flu symptoms should stay indoors and avoid other people to avoid spreading the illness, even if it's not coronavirus.
That's the advice from the Island's director of public health ahead of the winter flu season.
Only those with a temperature above 37.8°C, a new persistent cough or a loss of taste need to contact 111 for a Covid-19 consultation.
While those with sore throats or runny noses don't need a coronavirus test, Dr Henrietta Ewart says such illnesses can easily be spread:
New school planned for Park Road brownfield site
Inquest into death of man who died in Hillberry crash opened
Reduced hours for a number of sub-Post Offices come into effect
Gas regulation bill criticised for lack of clarity, accountability and purpose
