RTA expresses concerns over new regulations
The Chair of the IoM Road Transport Association says statistics published recently about heavy goods vehicles are questionable.
Stephen Broad made the comments whilst speaking to Manx Radio about incoming regulations, which will affect lorry drivers and hauliers across the Island.
New rules set to go before Tynwald this week will require truck drivers to inspect their vehicles daily - until now, only taxis and buses have required such regular checks.
It's thought the initiative will affect a large number of commercial vehicle users.
