A parade, party and plenty more on offer
Douglas Carnival takes place this afternoon.
A whole host of festivities and activities are on offer, including a 'Party in the Park' in the Villa Marina Gardens, a parade along the promenade, live music, rides and a fair.
The entertainment starts at midday, and runs on into the evening.
The following road closures apply in connection with the carnival:
Queens Promenade southbound (sea side) carriageway from midday.
Queens and Central proms: 1.30pm to 6pm (or earlier if the event is completed before that).
Harris promenade: 1.30pm to 10pm (or earlier if the event is completed before that).
Bus services are also affected.
