Groups have until November to register their interest

Douglas City Centre Management has opened applications for charities and local groups wanting to fundraise next year.

The council permits 28 collections per year and supports groups who want to hold collections or flag days throughout the capital.

Those wanting to apply must submit an application ahead of the deadline on Friday, 7 November and will be required to have their own public liability insurance.

The council adds the initiative aims to give organisations the 'opportunity' to raise additional funds during 'ongoing' cost of living challenges.
Douglas City Centre Manager, Oliver Cheshire said: "The invaluable work of Island charities and good causes is well known and the generosity of the Manx public continues to be a source of pride for our community - although it’s never taken for granted.

"We encourage all interested organisations to contact us between now and November the seventh."

Groups can request a form by emailing DCCM@douglas.gov.im.
