Nomination day is October 20
The date for the House of Keys Douglas East by-election will be Thursday, November 12, government has confirmed.
Nomination day, the day by which candidates must have confirmed their intention to stand, is October 20, a week on Tuesday.
The by-election is needed to fill one of the House of Keys seats in the constituency, following Brenda Cannell's retirement from Manx politics earlier this week.
