22-year-old will be sentenced in higher court

A Douglas man who had a kilogramme of cannabis sent to the Island has been committed to the Court of General Gaol Delivery for sentencing.

Twenty-year-old Joshua Stanley Corrin, of Westbourne Drive pleaded guilty to being unlawfully concerned in the production of the drug on 9 August last year.

A postman had tried to deliver a parcel to woman, at an address on Cushag Road in Douglas, but she refused to take it.

Post Office staff called police after their suspicions were raised - inside the parcel were four packages of drugs.
