Douglas man charged with indecent images offences

30-year-old accused of making more than 50 images

A Douglas man has appeared in court charged with five offences of making indecent photographs of children.

Thomas James Hall, of Peveril Street, is accused of making more than 50 images between 2 January 2020 and 1 March 2023.

The 30-year-old is also facing three charges of theft which allegedly took place at two convenience shops before Christmas.

He’s accused of stealing scratchcards and food from Mace, on Bathurst Street in Douglas, on 23 December and scratchcards from Ballachrink Stores in Onchan a day later.

Bail was granted with conditions imposed regarding his use of electronic devices, and those which connect to the internet, until his next court appearance on 28 March.

He's also prohibited from having contact with anyone under the age of 16 unless supervised.

During a court appearance on 5 September a further adjournment was requested by Mr Hall's advocate. He'll next appear in court on 31 October.
